Memphis is known as the birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll and an epicentre of early Blues music. The world-renowned Beale Street comes alive at night with some of the best players in the South. Iconic artists such as B.B. King, Elvis, Otis Redding, and Jerry Lee Lewis all cut their teeth in Memphis. Legendary recording studios such as Stax and Sun Records cranked out some of the most distinctive Rock and Soul records of the 60s.
